About
Dr. Kangjae Lee is a spatial data scientist. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Location-based Information System at Kyungpook National University. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Seoul and Yonsei University (2020-2021).
His research interests are primarily focused on GIScience and GeoAI. His research topics include the impact of environmental factors, such as green spaces and air pollution, on human health, the sales of local commercial districts and the geographically influential factors, as well as mobility studies related to GPS trajectories. Particularly, his work utilizes spatial regression models (e.g., Geographically and Temporally Weighted Regression, GTWR) and eXplainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) techniques to model and analyze complex spatial and temporal patterns.
